Peru launches PPP for Lima's convention center O&M

Peru's private investment promotion agency, Proinversion, has launched a tender process for the operation and maintenance (O&M) of the Convention Center of Lima (CCL).

The CCL will have a built area of 85,441.39 m2, with a capacity of 9,950 persons. It will have 5 main levels of conference rooms, 5 levels of platforms of services, recreation platforms, coffee shops, dining room, vertical communication through lifts and escalators, commercial area, 4 levels of underground parking, truck parking (loading and discharge dock) and private bus stop.

The contract will involve the participation of the private sector to be in charge of the operation and maintenance of the CCL for a period between 15 and 20 years.

Interested parties must submit their proposals on or before 16 November 2014.

The CCL project is currently in execution. Construction works must be concluded at the beginning of the second semester of 2015 due to the fact that the Annual Meeting of Governors of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund will be held in the new CCL in October, 2015.

The total project investment, including construction, equipment and furniture, is estimated at P535 million (US$180.4 million).
