Planning approval secured for USD500 million Bus yard PPP project in USA

The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency board of directors has given the green light to move forward with the initial planing and development approval (PDA) for the Potrero Yard Modernization project in San Francisco, California, USA. The PDA is awarded to the Potrero Neighborhood Collective team, LLC (PNC) as a lead developer (LD), which is led by its sole equity member, Plenary Americas US Holdings Inc. (Plenary).

The team also includes companies such as Mission Economic Development Agency (MEDA), Young Community Developers (YCD), Tabernacle Community Development Corporation (TCDC), Presidio Development Partners, design consultants IBI Group and Y.A. studio, Plant Construction Company, the Allen Group and WT Partnership.

The project involves the conceptual design for a modern, three-story bus storage and maintenance transit facility and approximately 575 affordable rental units for those with low or moderate incomes.  The new bus facility project will provide sufficient space and operational flow for bus maintenance, parking and bus fleet traffic, reduce bus downtime and make possible Muni's transition to an all-electric fleet.
