Public consultation launched for Maua water supply concession

The Mauá Municipal Government, located in the state of São Paulo (Brazil), has launched public consultation for the city water supply PPP project.

The objective of the project is to reduce and control water losses of the city water supply system.

The public hearing will be held on October 31 at the auditorium located at Rua Rio Branco. Questions, suggestions and comments can be submitted between October 31 and December 1.

Two companies were involved in structuring the project: Odebrecht Environmental and Contern.

There are several water supply and sanitation PPP projects in tender stage in Brazil. In early October the Municipality of Pará de Minas received two bids for the concession  relative to the water supply and the sanitation services in the city.

Last August the town of Penha (Santa Catarina state) issued a tender process for a water & wastewater concession and the city of Sumaré (São Paulo state) launched a tender process for a concession relative to the water supply and sanitation services of the city.

Public hearing: Auditorium located at Rua Rio Branco, 183, 10º andar, Centro de Mauá - SP, CEP: 09310-110.
