The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) has announced the completion of the repair of 49 km of the PY05 highway, corresponding to the first section of Pozo Colorado - Concepción in Paraguay.

The reconstruction of the PY05 route, which runs from 269.8 km (intersection with route PY09 - Poso Colorado) to 318.9 km, is being carried out by the Rutas del Norte consortium, consisting of Rovella Carranza and Concret Mix. Progress on Lot 2, which runs from 318.9 km to 372.2 km and is managed by Constructora Sánchez Tripoloni LTDA, is 74%. Lot 3, which runs from 372.2 km and 416.2 km (Concepción roundabout), is 83% complete and is the responsibility of the Nuevo Chaco consortium, consisting of B&B SA-Eurofinsa SA. 

The Pozo Colorado – Concepción project is part of the Highway Rehabilitation and Maintenance by Service Level modality. Companies repairing sections of the road will technically service them for 5 years.
