Sadbhav Engineering starts operations for Haryana road project

On Monday, 6 January 2014, Sadbhav Engineering has achieved commercial operation of the four-laning of Rohtak to Panipat section of NH-71 A road project in Haryana.

The project involved four-laning of Rohtak to Panipat section of NH-71 A in Haryana on design, build, finance, operate and transfer basis under National Highways Development Project phase III.

The project cost is estimated at Rs12,200 million (US$196 million). The concession period of the project is 25 years inclusive of construction period of 910 days from appointed date. The project is covered in the three districts of the State of Haryana i.e. Rohtak, Jhajjhar and Rewari.

On 5 November 2009, the Indian Cabinet Committee on Infrastructure approved the implementation of the project. Later on 5 January 2010, Sadbhav Engineering, was awarded the project.

The project is one of the stretches approved by the Government under NHDP Phase III. The project road runs between Rohtak to Panipat and it will facilitate in reducing the time and cost of travel for heavy traffic transporting from Panipat Industrial areas to Bawal industrial area via Rohtak in the State.
