Tender issued for Water Supply and Sanitation Improvement Sector Project in Laos
The Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MPWT) of Lao PDR has invited bids for the construction and completion of a water supply system in Longxan District, Xaisomboun Province, under the Asian Development Bank (ADB)-financed Loan 4511-LAO: Water Supply and Sanitation Improvement Sector Project.
The Works cover Water Supply – Longxan District, Xaisomboun Province, ten villages: Khonevath, Hinxo, Phoupaman, Phonemouang, Xamkhon, Phonelao, Vangluang, Naxai, Phonexai, and Nam Khoui villages, and include the following key components:
- Construction of water intake structures;
- Installation of raw water transmission pipelines about 5.7 km and treated water distribution pipelines about 120 km;
- Construction of foundations for water treatment plant facilities (3500 m3/day), including associated buildings and ancillary structures;
- Provision and installation of household water connections (2650 sets); and
- Execution of all related civil, mechanical, and electrical works necessary for the complete and functional operation of the system.
- The supply and installation of the Compact Water Treatment Plant (WTP) System are not included in the scope of this Contract and will be procured under a separate contract.

Laos to sign MoU for BOT expressway project
