The Government of the Republic of Zambia (GRZ), through the Road Development Agency (RDA), has launched a request for expression of interest (RFEOI) for six road PPP projects.

The preferred bidders will be responsible for the construction, upgrade, rehabilitation and maintenance of the selected road projects. GRZ through RDA has identified the following projects for conversion to dual carriageways in order to accommodate rising traffic levels:

• Lusaka to Ndola (T002/T003), approximately 321 km, including Kafulafuta to Luanshya Town (M006), approximately 45 km;

• Ndola to Kasumbalesa Border (T003), approximately 150 km;

• Kazungula via Livingstone to Turnpike (M10/T001), approximately 488 km (including a potential Livingstone Town Bypass road from Kazungula);

• Chirundu Border to Chilanga in Lusaka (T002), approximately 124 km;

• Chingola to Mutanda via Solwezi (T005), approximately 205 km; and

• Kapiri Mposhi to Nakonde (T002), approximately 855 km.

The Expressions of Interest (EOI) are targeting financially and technically competent prospective concessionaires to finance, design, construct, operate, maintain and toll the proposed road projects.

Interested parties must submit their EOI on or before 17 July 2015.
