2015 Global PPI Update - World Bank

Description

Investment commitments to private infrastructure projects totaled US$111.6 billion in 2015, on par with 2014 but 10 percent lower than the last five-year average. A large part of the commitments was a single project, i.e., Turkey’s IGA Airport, without which global investment commitments would have been US$82.5 billion, or 26 percent lower than in 2014. But even with the airport, investment as a percent of GDP declined, with the average PPI in 2015 at 0.4 percent, a 20 percent drop from the previous five years.
