According to the most recent American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Infrastructure Report Card, released in March 2013, the U.S. "improved" from a grade of "D" to a "D+" across all categories of infrastructure. That improvement belies the harsh reality that the estimated infrastructure investment needed by 2020 amounts to $3.6 trillion, leaving an estimated funding gap of $1.6 trillion.The following White Papaer prepared by AECOM reviews America's needs and current federal policy in place that allows for strategic, cost-effective private investment in US infrastructure.
