The Department for Transport in the UK has published a report "Lessons from transport for the sponsorship of major projects". The report includes 24 lessons learned from transport to improve controlled delivery of major projects by government departments. The report is published by the Department for Transport in association with Infrastructure and Projects Authority.

This report aims to increase confidence that future transport, infrastructure and wider government projects are delivered with confidence, predictability and control.
