The state of Piaui in Brazil has launched a bidding process for the Transcerrados Highway PPP project. Transcerrados comprises the highways PI-397 and PI-262 (Palestine road). The winning company will be responsible for the public services of conservation, recovery, construction, maintenance, implementation of improvements, and operation of an area with a length of 276.8 km, which covers 25 municipalities in the region, including large soy producers in Piauí.
