The Louisiana Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority (CPRA) has announced that it is extending the deadline for its Request for Statement of Interest and Qualifications (RSIQ) to design, build, finance, and monitor/maintain marshland restoration in the Barataria Basin of Louisiana, located in the south-east of the United States.

The original deadline of 27 August has been extended to 26 September 2018. CPRA is taking this action in response to feedback from stakeholders. The authority's Board approved a resolution permitting CPRA to begin advertising for private sector participation in projects within the Barataria Basin in June this year.

The authority is utilizing a P3 model called Outcome-Based Performance Contracting, whereby it will award a full delivery, single contract to finance, design, construct, monitor and maintain a project over a set period of time and compensate the selected private partner based on the contractor successfully meeting project performance milestones and goals.
