National Land Transport Agency (ANTT) in Brazil has announced the authorization to renew the Rumo Paulista rail concession. The 1989 km long network initially awarded to Ferroban in 1998 for 30 years. Due to acquisition and mergers, Ferroban became ALL in 2008 which in turn was taken over by Rumo in 2016. The new concession period will be for another 30 years and will end in 2058.

Under the terms of the contract, Rumo will invest BRL 5.7 billion (US$ 1 billion) during the five years and will pay the government fees of BRL 2.2 billion (US$ 0.43 billion).

The Rumo Paulista rail network serves the state of São Paulo and runs from Santa Fé do Sul, on the border with Mato Grosso do Sul state, to the port of Santos.
