The concession of Cais Mauá in Porto Alegre is the subject of workshops planned for June and July. The events are organized by the secretariats of Planning, Governance and Management (SPGG) of Brazil and Partnerships (Separ) of the state government, the National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) and the Revitaliza consortium.

The workshops will cover topics related to port development and design, dealing with press and communication, and specifically about the area of Porto Alegre, etc. In total, there are around 10 workshops, after which the tenter notice will be published at the end of 2021. The project involves the redevelopment of the port area, located on the banks of the Guaíba, between the Usina do Gasômetro and the Porto Alegre bus station. A plot of 181.3 thousand sq. meters belongs to the State and is divided into the warehouse, docks and gasholder.

BNDES and the State government have signed a contract to structure the privatization model of the area. The Revitaliza consortium was selected to carry out the feasibility study for the revitalization of Cais Mauá and to prepare the tender process for the concession. The team is formed by Patrinvest, Machado Meyer Advogados, Dal Pian Arquitetos, ZEBL Arquitetura, Radar PPP, Caruso Engenharia, Apsis Consultoria Empresarial and 380 Volts Comunicação.
