Brazil to hold an auction for USD2.34 billion Highway PPP project

The National Land Transport Agency (ANTT) has postponed the auction for the concession of the BR-381/BR-262 highway PPP project located between Minas Gerais and Espirito Santo states in Brazil.

The change in documents and schedule was due to adjustments proposed by the Ministry of Infrastructure (Minfra), which reported situations that impact the viability of the projects that make up the highway concession portfolio, especially with regard to the effects of the Covid pandemic -19.

The Ministry proposed revision and adjustments to the documents to ensure the economic and environmental technical feasibility of the project.  The project consists of the concession of 686.10 km as well as the exploration of infrastructure and the provision of public service of recovery, operation, maintenance, monitoring, conservation and implementation of improvements. The contract will have a duration of 30 years.

The bidding for the project is rescheduled for February 7th, 2022 at 2 pm, at B3, in São Paulo (SP). You can find more information about this auction on our business opportunity page here.
