China Everbright International Limited (CEIL) has been awarded 30-year Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) concession contracts for five waste-to-energy projects in China. The projects are the following:

  1. Shengzhou Phase I has a designed household waste processing capacity of 800 tonnes and commands an investment of approximately CNY570 million (US$84.51 million). The waste-to-energy plant will be equipped with two 400 tonnes/day grate furnaces that are self-developed by CEIL and one 18 MW turbine power generator. The plant is expected to generate green electricity of approximately 120 million kWh annually.
  2. Dongfang Phase I has a designed daily household waste processing capacity of 800 tonnes and commands an investment of approximately CNY520 million (US$37.07 million) (including the investment of the shared facilities for phase II of the project). Phase I of the waste-to-energy plant will be equipped with two 400 tonnes/day grate furnaces that are self-developed by CEIL and one 18 MW turbine power generator. The plant is expected to generate green electricity of approximately 110 million kWh annually.
  3. Yongzhou Eastern Phase I has a designed daily waste processing capacity of 600 tonnes. The waste-to-energy plant will be equipped with two of CEIL's self-developed 300 tonnes/day mechanic grate furnaces, one 12 MW turbine power generator and one 15 MW power generator. The plant is expected to generate approximately 92,000,000 kWh of green electricity annually.
  4. Danzhou Phase I has a designed daily waste processing capacity of 1,000 tonnes. The waste-to-energy plant will be equipped with two of CEIL's self-developed 500 tonnes/day mechanic grate furnaces and one 25 MW turbine power generator. The plant is expected to generate approximately 126,000,000 kWh of green electricity annually.
  5. Pingdu Phase II will expand the exisiting Pingdu waste-to-energy plant to a total designed daily waste processing capacity of 900 tonnes and capacity to generate green electricity of approximately 98 million kWh annually. Phase II will be equipped with one 300 tonnes/day grate furnace that is self-developed by CEIL and one 6 MW turbine power generator.
