The National Infrastructure Agency (ANI) of Colombia has authorised a second payment to creditors of the Ruta Del Sol 2 highway concession of COP627 billion (~US$200 million).

The concession was awarded to a consortium led by Brazilian conglomerate Odebrecht in 2010. However, in 2017 public prosecutors found the company guilty of corrupting the bidding process and the contract was terminated.

This payment will add to COP1.34 trillion (~US$425 million) that the agency has already paid to compensate suppliers, contractors, creditors and, especially, the nearly 3,000 workers that were hired by the concessionaire in 2017 and 2018.
