Concession contract signed for USD155 million Port PPP project in Colombia

The Ministry of Transportation and the National Infrastructure Agency (ANI) has signed a concession contract for the development of the Port of Pisisi in Antioquia, Colombia.

The project aims to generate around 6,000 direct and indirect jobs. The estimated investment amount is US$155 million in this new port area, public-private capital.

The scope of the project includes the construction of a 1.5 km land access road that will connect the Port of Pisisí with the Mar 2 concession, which goes from Cañasgordas to Necloclí (Urabá) and a main pier whose platform will be on Turbo Bay, next to the coast, with a length of 490 m by a width of 40 m.

The project targets to mobilize 300 thousand tons during the first year of operation and to reach about 1.7 million tons for the 30th year of concession, mainly represented by general cargo products, containers, solid and liquid bulk, vehicles and hydrocarbons.
