Construction progress of PY09 Transchaco route is about 90%

The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) of Paraguay has announced that rehabilitation and maintenance work on the national route PY09 - Transchaco will be completed in 2022 with an average progress of 92% on 8 lots, comprising four sections.

The progress of the construction is as follows:

  • Lot 1 (from 50 km to 112 km) has 83% progress, Heisecke SA is responsible for the work;
  • Lot 2 (from 112 to 173 km) reached 94%, the contractor is the consortium Ruta 9 Transchaco;
  • Lot 3 (from 173 to 250 km) reached 70%, the contractor is the Avanza Chaco consortium;
  • Lot 4 (from 250 km to 326 km) reached 63%, the work is carried out by TOCSA SA;
  • Lot 5 (from 326 km to 390 km), corresponding to Concret Mix SA, reached 118%;
  • Lot 6 (from 390 to 450 km) of the Boquerón consortium is 118% complete;
  • Lot 7 (km 450 to km 525) handed over to Asunción SA y Asociados consortium, is 89% closed. The Fortín Toledo extension is 100% complete;
  • Lot 8 of section 4 (access to Loma Plata, Filadelfia, Neuland, line 1), managed by Rovella Carranza S.A., is 98% complete. The path to Yalve Sanga Hospital is 100% completed.

The redevelopment period for the PY09 Transchaco route is 2 years for construction and 4 years for maintenance.
