Construction work has commenced on Section B1 of the second concession road access for Arturo Merino Benítez Airport in Santiago, Chile.

The work includes the extension of around 3.8 km located between Vespucio Norte and Camino Lo Boza until it joins with Camino Lo Echevers. Once operational, this new section will improve the northern access to the Santiago Airport, expanding the road capacity and improving its safety conditions.

Section B1 involves an investment of CLF665.4110 (US$24,947.7) and is expected to be built during a period of 25 months. The project involves the development of a 10-km road to improve the entry and exit routes to the main airport terminal and develop new access on the north side. The reception of bids for the concession of this road access is scheduled for August 30, 2021.
