VINCI Construction has announced that it wins the first design-build contract for the Grand Paris Express (section of Line 15 West) in France.

The contract covers the first section of line 15 West, which will link the Pont de Sèvres station with La Défense (Hauts de Seine - west of Paris). The contract value is EUR2.71 billion (US$2.98 billion). Contact covers the turnkey design and construction of 14 km of tunnels, 5 stations (Saint Cloud, Rueil-Surein-Mont-Valérien, Nanterre-la-Boule, Nanterre-la-Foli and La Défense), a series of railways and 16 service buildings. It is planned that Line 15 West will extend Line 15 South and connect to Transilien Lines L and U at Saint-Cloud and at La Défense, RER Line E at Nanterre La Folie, and RER Lines A and E, metro Line 1 and Transilien tramway Line T2 at La Defense. During construction, the consortium will for instance mostly use low-carbon and very low-carbon concrete.

Line 15 West will start operating at the end of 2031.
