Contract notice issued for Sarajevo - Pale cycling trail Construction project in Bosnia and Herzegovina

European Union, represented by the European Commission has issued a tender notice for the construction of the Sarajevo - Pale cycling trail in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Sarajevo-Pale cycling trail will be constructed, starting from Sarajevo City Hall "Vijecnica" and passing through the Dariva pedestrian zone and local access roads until reaching the exit towards the narrow-gauge railway route, providing a scenic view of "Vrelo Života." The trail will end near the old railway station in Pale, located at the intersection of a local road running alongside the narrow-gauge railway route and the regional road connecting the center of Pale with Mount Jahorina. The planned reconstruction works included in this contract consist of:

  1. Reconstruction of up to 15 km of the trail route.
  2. Reconstruction of 2 bridges along the route, requiring testing and the installation of the bed and railing.
  3. Reconstruction of 9 tunnels of various designs, including carved and stone-lined tunnels, with the inclusion of solar panel lighting.
