Contract signed for education PPP in Peru

The Private Investment Promotion Agency (PROINVERSION) has annouced that the Ministry of Education (MINEDU) and the company Concesionaria de Colegios de Alto Rendimiento S.A.C. (Marhnos) signed the concession contract for the development of three High Performance Schools in Peru.

The Consessionare will be responsible for the design, financing, construction, equipment, maintenance and operation of complementary services of the three schools that will be located in the towns of Chontabamba (Pasco), Ascensión (Huancavelica) and Oropesa (Cusco), benefiting 900 students each year. The schools will have more than 14,000 m2 in covered areas.

The Colegios de Alto Rendimiento (COAR) Center initiative is the first Public-Private Partnership (PPP) in the field of education in Peru. The project was promoted and awarded by PROINVERSION in March 2022, helping to the State's objective of closing the educational infrastructure gap. The concession also includes the operation and maintenance of the facilities, as well as integral cleaning, food, laundry, and security.
