The Ministry of Public Works in Chile has signed the decree of adjudication for the concession of La Serena Hospital with Acciona Concesiones Hospitalarias consortium. The consortium is made up of Acciona and Concesiones Chile Holdings.

La Serena hospital will be located in the north of the country benefiting residents of the communes of La Serena, La Higuera, Vicuña and Paihuan. The 121,000 square meters healthcare complex will have 668 beds and will serve a population of 700,000 people. In addition, there will be 15 pavilions offering medical, dental and non-medical consultations.
