The Board of the Investment Partnerships Program (CPPI) in Brazil has qualified eleven new transportation projects to be prioritized in the Federal Government's concession program.

The following projects were identified under the process:

  • Leasing of MAC11, MAC12 and MAC13 terminals at the Port of Maceió (AL)
  • MUC01 at the Port of Mucuripe in Fortaleza (CE)
  • TERSAB at the Areia Branca Port Complex in Rio Grande do Norte
  • STS08 and STS08A fuel terminals in the Port of Santos at the Alemoa area
  • 438 km long BR-135/316 / MA concession
  • Aluízio Alves (São Gonçalo do Amarante, in Rio Grande do Norte) airport concession
  • Viracopos (Campinas, in São Paulo) airport concession

The qualification of these projects shows that the government's concession program follows its normal course, even in the face of the pandemic caused by the coronavirus.

In addition, 21 stretches of highways integrated in Paraná, and two accesses from BR-230 / PA were included in the National Privatization Plan (PND). The council also approved the support for the environmental licensing of BR-174 / MT-RO, which is one of the attributions of the Concession Program and consists of articulation with other environmental agencies in order to prioritize the licensing analyzes of the areas to be bid.
