Croatia awards concession to Aquae Vivae for Pucka Kupelj geothermal water

The Government of Croatia awarded the 30-year concession to Aquae Vivae for the use of Pucka Kupelj mineral and geothermal water that the company intends to use for health and recreational purposes.

Aquae Vivae will pay a one-off fee of HRK117,000 (US$17,397) within 60 days after the signing of the contract. The company will also pay an annual concession fee that will be determined b the end of each year by the public water utility company Hrvatske Vode.

Aquae Vivae will provide health, balneotherapy, sports and recreational tourism services at its Aquae Vivae hotel complex in the Krapinske Toplice village, in northern Croatia. With the signed concession, the company has the rights to exploit the Pucka Kupelj source on an area of 7,057 square meters in the Krapinske Toplice area.
