The City of Duisburg and DuisburgSport are seeking a private partner to construct and operate new swimming pool facilities in the south of Duisburg, located in western Germany.

The selected investor will deliver facilities for schools and sports clubs, as well as regular citizens, including a teaching swimming pool, which will be rented to the City of Duisberg for 30 years. In addition, the private partner will be given the opportunity to build at their own economic risk a varied bathing area with additional attractions on the property.

The private partner will maintain and operate all of the facilities delivered under the PPP contract.

Requests to participate in the tender are due on 5 February 2019. The authorities intend to invite up to five applicants to bid for the project by 15 February. For more information, see the Business Opportunity.
