Gridworks has signed an agreement with the Government of Uganda to develop and finance a transmission project that will support the development of the transmission sector in Uganda.

The project involves the upgrade of 4 substations - Tororo, Nkenda, Mbarara and Mirama - identified as a priority by Uganda’s national transmission utility (UETCL). Gridworks will provide up to US$90m funding, while Siemens will undertake upgrade work on the four substations.
