Illinois signs US$ 45 billion infrastructure plan

Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker in the USA has signed a US$ 45 billion infrastructure fund to the law on June 28, 2019. The investment will help restore the state’s crumbling roads and bridges and help maintain public buildings.

To cover the cost of infrastructure plan the state has legalized sports betting and laid further taxes on gas, cigarettes and Registration fees for vehicles. The final plan was possible due to cumulative efforts of state and many groups like labors and businesses.
