The Investment Coordination Committee-Cabinet Committee (ICC-CC) and the Committee on Infrastructure (INFRACOM) in the Philippines has approved a revised list of 100 infrastructure flagship projects (IFPs). The authority is planning to start all the projects under the term of the President and expecting to complete partial operation for some projects by 2022.
The 100 IFPs covers five sectors, in which transport and mobility will be a top priority. Other sectors are Power, Water, Information and Communications Technology, and Urban Development and Renewal. The list includes Metro Manila Subway Project, North-South Commuter Railway, Clark International Airport Expansion Project, Cebu Monorail System, Panay-Guimaras Negros Bridge, Samal Island-Davao City Connector Bridge, and the Mindanao Rail Project.
Out of all 100, 26 projects will be developed on PPP procurement method. The estimated cost for all projects is above PHP 8 trillion (US$ 157 billion).
