New Jersey approves plans for redevelopment PPP near Hoboken Terminal

The Hoboken City Council in cooperation with NJ TRANSIT, LCOR and New Jersey state has approved the redevelopment agreement for new development and public infrastructure improvements near Hoboken Terminal.

The Hoboken Connect development will be undertaken in phases by public and private components. The public institutions will be responsible for the construction of a new bus terminal on Hudson Place, rehabilitation of Ferry Terminal, redevelopment of Warrington Plaza, and improvements to Hudson Place to support bicycle and pedestrian access to the transportation facilities. The public component will be financed through US$176 million provided by the State of New Jersey.

The selected private partner(s) through the procurement process will develop a mixed-use residential building with 20% dedicated as affordable housing; a 20-story Class A office building with a rooftop terrace, 5,000 sq. ft. of retail space and related public open spaces including additional pedestrian, vehicular and bicycle improvements.
