Opening announced for multimillion International Airport Project in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia's government has announced the opening of the Red Sea International Airport by mid-2023.

DAA International, in collaboration with Almabani and Nesma & Partners, has been awarded the development contract for the project. With a US$266 Million agreement, DAA International will serve as the official operator, overseeing the project's development, and providing aviation, corporate, financial, airfield, and terminal services.

The Red Sea International Airport prioritizes domestic arrivals and features a dedicated seaplane runway. It caters to a wide range of aircraft, from Airbus A380 to private jets, and aims to be the first carbon-neutral airport. The development offers upscale amenities like restaurants and a spa. To expedite processing, baggage will be delivered directly to hotel rooms, eliminating the need for a baggage claims area.
