The National Infrastructure Agency (ANI) and the concessionaire Autopistas del Café, have provided mobility solutions with the adaptation of the bridge railway for pedestrian use and the reconstruction of the El Alambrado bridge over the Río la Vieja to the communities of Seville, La Tebaida and Caicedonia in the departments of Quindío and Valle del Cauca, Colombia.

The Autopistas del Café concession is responsible for the project, which involves the adaptation of a railway bridge for pedestrian use. The bridge, made of a non-slip steel sheet, is 57 m long and 1.44 m wide, with handrails on each side. This initiative will greatly benefit the local community, particularly students, teachers, and workers who commute daily.

Additionally, the reconstruction work on the El Alambrado bridge is progressing well, with the dismantling of the old structure and preparation of materials for the new structure following the planned schedule. Currently, 81.2% of the bridge clearing has been completed, and 6 trucks out of the total 35 required for transporting the new bridge components have already arrived in the Coffee Region.
