Public consultation launched for two street lighting projects in Brazil

The municipality of Aracaju and Municipality of Feira de Santana in Brazil has published public consultation for the public-private partnership project for public lighting in both municipalities. Both projects are supported by the Federal Fund FEP / Caixa that is launched for consultation, with a view to receiving contributions from society.

The projects were selected through the Fund's first public call, July 2018, and is carried out in cooperation with the IFC / World Bank, a multilateral organization with expertise in structuring partnership projects. The studies, which began in June 2019, were completed one month ahead of schedule.
 
The public lighting project in Aracaju has an estimated value of BRL 239 million (US$ 56.01 million), a 13-year term and aims to delegate the provision of services in the Municipality, including the development, modernization and expansion, energy efficiency, and the operation and maintenance of the municipal network public lighting. 
 
The public lighting project in Feira de Santana has an estimated value of BRL 235.4 million (US$ 55.16 million) and the same tenure and scope of works as a project in Aracaju.
