RFEOIs issued seeking private developer for Independent sewage treatment plants in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Water Partnership Company (SWPC) has issued two requests for expression of interest (RFEOI) seeking private partners to develop Independent sewage treatment plant (ISTP) in three cities in Saudi Arabia.

The first RFEOI is seeking a private developer for financing, engineering, procurement, construction, implementation, ownership, operation, maintenance and transfer of two Independent Sewage Treatment Plants (ISTP) in the cities of Tabuk and Buraydah. The ultimate capacity of these ISTPs will be 90,000 m3/day for city of Tabuk and 150,000 m3/day for the city of Buraydah.

The second RFEOI is seeking a private developer for financing, engineering, procurement, construction, implementation, ownership, operation, maintenance and transfer of Madinah 3 Independent Sewage Treatment Plants (ISTP) in city Madinah. The ultimate capacity of this ISTP will be 375,000 m3/day.

The concession period for all ISTP will be 25 years. The deadline to submit the interest for both RFEOI is February 04, 2020. You can find more information about these opportunities on our business opportunity page here and here.

  • Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (DIFC Branch – Dubai) as Lead and Financial Adviser;
  • DLA Piper as Legal Adviser; and
  • WS Atkins & Partners Overseas Engineering Consultants as Technical Adviser.
