The Ministry of Local Government and Disaster Risk Management has invited proposals from promoters having the necessary experience, expertise and resources for the development and operation of a modern Urban Terminal at Rose Hill in Port-Louis, Mauritius.
For the implementation of the project, the authority will put at the disposal of the successful Promoter four portions of land of a total extent of 3 Arpents 84 perches identified as Plots A, B, C and D.
The urban terminal is envisioned to incorporate the metro station, bus station, and taxi stand within a development that could encompass a mix of retail, commercial, office, leisure facilities, residential apartments, and parking. This development aims to facilitate the safe and smooth movement of pedestrians throughout the urban terminal, including seamless integration with the metro station. This could involve aesthetically pleasing grade-separated crossing facilities, footpaths, and cycle paths to enhance street-level activity. The orientation of the buildings is intended to encourage natural ventilation, reducing reliance on mechanical heating or cooling. The project emphasizes green architecture, and sustainable and eco-friendly design, incorporating features such as rainwater harvesting systems, photovoltaic panels, and other renewable energy solutions. Additionally, LED lighting and sustainable waste management practices are to be integrated. To ensure public safety, security and crime prevention measures, including CCTV cameras, will be implemented.
The deadline for submission of Request for Proposal is May 15, 2024. Additional details regarding this tender can be accessed through our Business Opportunity page here.
