The city of Bonita Springs in the USA has issued a request for proposals (RFP) seeking a private developer to design, build, finance a mixed-use development opportunity in the city of Bonita Springs, Florida. The development will take place on 5.97 acres of land on 3 sites located in river frontage and in downtown Bonita Springs off historic 'Old 41 Road'. The mixed-use site should have qualities of active Downtown and enhances the quality of life, civic use and riverfront activation while developing the properties into their highest and best use.
The Site’s development should consider a mix of residential (apartments and/or town houses) and retail uses, but it could also include office or hospitality as the market can support. City leaders have recently stressed the desirability of civic and community components such as outdoor dining, courtyards and decks, as well as open areas and green space. Redevelopment concepts must include interaction with the Imperial River. A critical component of any development proposal will be the activation of the river and pedestrian corridor on the river to allow for public access to, and interaction with, the waterfront.
The deadline to submit the bids is April 14, 2020. You can find more information about this RFP on our business opportunity page here.
