Infrastructure Ontario (IO) and Metrolinx in Canada have issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) to two shortlisted teams for the second Advance Tunnel Contract (ATC2) for the Eglinton Crosstown West Extension (ECWE). This 500-meter tunnel will start east of Jane Street and connect to the future Mount Dennis Station.

The shortlisted teams for the project are:

1. STRABAG: STRABAG Inc., WSP Canada Inc., Dr. G. Sauer & Partners Corporation (DSP);

2. Acciona-GFL Joint Venture (AGJV): Acciona Infrastructure Canada Inc, GFL Infrastructure Group Inc., GHD Limited, Acciona Engineering North America Inc.

Upon evaluating the proposals received, the authority expects to award this contract in early 2023.
