The University of Washington has issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ)  for the development of the U District Station Building (UDSB) in the University District of Seattle, the largest city in Washington state, located in north-west USA.

The proposed UDSB is intended to consolidate many of the administrative uses that are currently housed in leased space throughout the district and significantly reduce the overall cost of space to the University.

However, the developer will be free to propose whatever development they prefer provided that it is appropriate for the site and maximizes University Development Objectives.

The selected developer will be responsible for all aspects of the development, including procuring all entitlements and permits required, design, construction, financing, management and maintenance of the property.

Responses to the RFQ will be evaluated and developers selected to proceed to the second round of the selection process will receive a Request for Proposals (RFP). The submission deadline for the RFQ is 8 January 2019, with the RFP scheduled to be issued on 15 January.
