Infrastructure Ontario and Niagara Health have issued a request for qualifications (RFQ) seeking private partner to design, build, finance, and maintain the South Niagara Hospital Project. The Project will consolidate and rationalize services from three existing facilities within NH: the Greater Niagara General Site, the Port Colborne Site and the Douglas Memorial Site, as well as selected services from the Welland County Hospital site – into an estimated 1.25 million square foot new facility, planned on a 49.8 acre greenfield site in Niagara Falls.

The new South Niagara Hospital will be a full acute care hospital that will include:

  • 24/7 Emergency department, diagnostic, therapeutic, and surgical services; as well as medical, surgical, and intensive care inpatient Beds;
  • Ambulatory Services as well as post-acute Complex Continuing Care (CCC) Inpatient services;
  • Centers of Excellence specializing in stroke, complex care, geriatric/psychogeriatrics, and wellness in aging.
  • Designed with the next age of innovation in mind. The South Niagara Hospital will seamlessly integrate technology that supports high-quality healthcare, where technology recedes into the background so patients can focus on recovering and healing.

The deadline to submit the qualifications is April 06, 2021. You can find more information about this RFQ on our business opportunity page here.
