The auction for the Rodoanel Metropolitano concession is scheduled for March 2022.

The authority has completed complementary traffic studies, topographic studies and surveys, preparation of the basic project for the alternatives, as well as social and environmental analyses. The alignment of the route has been adapted according to the findings of studies. The location of the planned tunnel has been moved to Serra do Rola Moça instead of Serra da Calçada, in order to cause less environmental impact and make it 1 km shorter.
