State of Pará authorizes tender process for Highway Concession

The State of Pará in Brazil has authorized the opening of a bidding process for its first highway concession. 

The selected private partner will operate the infrastructure and provision of services to recover, operate, monitor and improve capacity, road safety and maintenance of the Subsistema Rodoviário do Estado do Pará (SREPA). The concession includes the following roads of the Highway Subsystem in Pará:

  1. PA 150, Section: Morada Nova - Goianésia do Pará - Entr . PA 475/256, with an extension of 333.00 km;
  2. PA 475, Section: Entr PA 150/256 - Entr. PA 252, with an extension of 41.60 km;
  3. PA 252, Excerpt: Entr. PA 475 - Entry PA 151/252, with an extension of 41.40 km;
  4. PA 151, Section Entr. PA 252 - Entr PA 483/Alça Viária, with a length of 21.50 km;
  5. PA 483, Section: Access Vila do Conde Port Area (Barcarena) - Entrance. PA 151/ Alça Viária, with an extension of 18.60 km; and
  6. Belem Road South Route, Entr. PA 151/483 - Entry BR 316/010, with an extension of 69.40 km.

The concession period will be 30 years, starting from the date of transferring the sections to the winning concessionaire.
