The University of Kentucky has presented a Request for Proposal (RFP) for qualified individuals, firms and teams for the development financing, management and implementation of medical and university facilities in Kentucky, USA.

The components of the Project are as follows:

  1. Outpatient medical office space to support multidisciplinary clinical care and teaching, including exam rooms, core support services (e.g., pharmacy, lab and radiology) patient and staff amenities;
  2. A consistent, flexible, innovative outpatient medical office building to support efficient patient and family-focused healthcare facility of 200,000 square feet or greater and supporting infrastructure;
  3. Construct a high-quality, minimal maintenance exterior and interior structure that will support a 30-year-plus use. Appropriate milestones are established for updates within this duration.
  4. Option to partner for design, build and finance or design, build, finance, operate and maintain (the O&M partner would maintain first-class medical office space).

The Developer will be responsible for building the medical office structure and parking facilities at Hamburg East and has the option to handle the maintenance, operations, and custodial duties related to the building components of the Project. Teams should have a proven track record and expertise in financing developments on publicly-owned property.
