Tender issued for water infrastructure PPP project in USA

The city of Riviera Beach in Florida, USA has launched a request for qualifications seeking a private partner to develop a new Water Treatment Facility and Infrastructure at a city-owned site. The site is located at 2391 Avenue L in the city of Riviera Beach. The project is being procured under Design, Build and Finance model.

The aim of the project is to replace the Utility Special District’s aging water treatment facilities and developing a water supply system to provide high quality drinking water for many years. It is anticipated that the water utility infrastructure will be designed and built to provide a number of innovative ideas and new trends that will provide the customers with high quality, cost effective drinking water.

The project consists of the construction of a 12 MGD Water Treatment Facility expandable to 16 MGD, and possibly larger if required by the water supply study, appropriate increments and all associated infrastructure including utility administrative offices, utility maintenance shop, raw water production wells, raw water transmission improvements, potable water distribution improvements and a public works facility.
