Tender launched for airports concession in Nigeria

The Federal Ministry of Aviation in Nigeria has launched a request for qualifications (RFQ) seeking a private partner to operate four airports located across the country. The airports included in the concession are :

  1. Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA)
  2. Mallam Aminu Kano Internatıonal Aırport Kano
  3. Port Harcourt Internatıonal Aırprot
  4. Nnamdı Azıkwe Internatıonal Aırport Abuja

The concessionaire will be responsible for design, upgrade, construction, and financing of the services under a 25-year Build, Operate, Transfer (BOT) contract. It will provide all airport services, maintenance of the Aerodrome Certificate, compliance with Aerodrome Manual as well as the implementation of an airport security program, airport emergency plan, and safety management system.
