Tender launched for Broadband network PPP project in USA

Town of Windsor in Colorado, USA has launched a request for information (RFI) seeking interested parties to expand enhanced broadband services in the Town. The authority will consider responses proposing all technologies and solutions including, but not limited to, the development of a fiber-to-home network.

Windsor is a home rule charter with a current population of more than 38,000 residents that operates under a Board-Manager form of government, with the Town Board being comprised of a Mayor and 6 members for each of the town’s 6 districts.

The authority is seeking a private vendor which will offer:

  • Gigabit fiber broadband telecommunication and services to residents at a competitive price at low or no cost to the local town government
  • Excellent customer services to all customers
  • Discounted rates for lower-income households
  • A “smart city” utility infrastructure, such as streetlights, stoplights, meters, and controls
  • Interconnected Town-owned structures, parks, and facilities

The deadline to submit the response is June 24, 2021. Find more information about this RFI on our business opportunity page here.
