Three teams prequalified for Weeneebayko Area Health Authority redevelopment PPP project

Infrastructure Ontario (IO) and Weeneebayko Area Health Authority (WAHA) have announced the prequalification of three teams, which move onto the second phase of the Request for Proposals (RFP) process to deliver the WAHA Redevelopment Project in Canada. The three prequalified companies are as follows:

  1. PCL Northern Health Care: PCL Constructors Canada Inc., Parkin Architects Limited;
  2. Pomerleau Healthcare Partners: Pomerleau Inc, Kasian Architecture Ontario Incorporated and Bertrand Wheeler Architecture Inc.;
  3. The Bird Team: Bird Design-Build Construction Inc., NORR Architects & Engineers Ltd, Cannon Design Ltd. and Bird Capital Limited Partnership.

The redevelopment project involves the construction of a new Hospital, Elder Care Lodge, Visitor Hostel and Staff Accommodations in Moosonee as well as a new Ambulatory Care Centre on Moose Factory Island.
