Westminster City Council in the UK has launched a Prior Information Notice (PIN) for a mixed-use redevelopment opportunity at Church Street in the city. The council is looking to regenerate Church Street sustainably and build on the distinctive character of the place and its people.

The master plan is split into three parcels, Sites A, B & C together with the Church Street market. It involves up to 1,100 new homes on sites A, B and C, from which 50% will be affordable homes.

The council is currently soliciting proposals for redevelopment works at site A to deliver around 429 homes including:

  • 98 homes for social rent re-provision;
  • 16 homes for Leaseholder re-provision;
  • 215 homes for market sale;
  • 46 homes on additional social rent;
  • 70 homes with additional intermediate rent;
  • 700 sqm retail space;
  • Library space;
  • Landscaped courtyard gardens;
  • Four new drop-off/delivery bays for market traders.
