World Bank seeks consultants for road PPP in Panama

The International Finance Corporation (IFC), is in discussions with the Government of Panama, to engage IFC as the lead advisor to structure and implement a private sector participation project (PSP) to improve road transport infrastructure in the country.

The PPP project involves the rehabilitation, operation and maintenance of a 246 km road between Pacora and Yaviza. The road is also known as the East Pan-American Road. In total, the World Bank is looking for the following three consultants:

  • The Environmental and Social (E&S) consultant to assist IFC with all E&S aspects of the transaction;
  • The Communications Consultant to assist IFC with all Communication aspects of the transaction;
  • The Technical Consultant to assist with all Technical aspects of the transaction from the beginning of the mandate until the successful award of the project.
