Local engineering company, Planos Engenharia, has been selected by the Municipality of Rio de Janeiro to structure a Public private partnership contract for a car park project in the city of Rio de Janeiro. The selection has been carried out through a "Procedimento de Manifestação de Interesse" (PMI).

The tender process for the selection of the advisor to the city was published on June 5 and candidates has 30 days to register for the process. Other four companies registered for the tender process: Hora Park, CCR, Synthesis, Construtora Zadar. However, according to the PMI rules, only one of the companies would be selected to prepare the studies.

Now, Planos Engenharia has 60 days to finalize the studies.

Although the maximum payment for the studies was R$5 million, Planos Engenharia asked for a payment of R$ 1.95 million being the best in the criterion of the tender process.
